We got an early lunch at Piccola Cocina at Ox pasture, grabbed some coffee and candy for the road and visited the iconic Pollard Hotel.

We saw this cute little guy. He jumped right out onto the road at the higher elevation and watched the cars and people!

This scenic byway is known for being a great place to see several different types of wildlife. Just on our afternoon adventure we saw a mountain goat, marmot, cows and many different types of birds.
